Physical Interpretations of Relativity Theory - 2021
05-09 July 2021
Laboratory Building of BMSTU
Moscow, Rubtsovskaya nab., 2/18
Bauman Moscow State Technical University is holding a conference on Gravity, Cosmology and Astrophysics (PIRT-2021) on July 5-9, 2021
The PIRT Conference is an international scientific event which dates back to 1988 and was first held at Imperial College London once every two years, and since 2003 it has been held at Bauman Moscow State Technical University.
The main objectives of the Conference include: discussion of the physical, geometric and mathematical interpretation of the theory of relativity and its modern generalizations, discussion of the observed effects and experimental verification of the theory of relativity, methods for recording gravitational waves, effects of relativistic electrodynamics and optics of moving media, as well as astrophysical observations and space experiments.
The PIRT-2021 Conference program include the reports on the following topics:
- Gravity, Cosmology and Large-Scale Structure of the Universe
- Gravitational Waves and Experimental Verification of the Theory of Relativity
- High Energy Astrophysics
- Relativistic Electrodynamics
- Modern Problems of Classical and Quantum Field Theory
Participants will discuss the ways to solve the problem of creating a compact source and detector of gravitational waves, the projects to study the spectrum of cosmic radiation, the effects of the theory of relativity on the work of global space positioning systems, the use of experimental data in the field of gravimetry to solve high-precision navigation problems, as well as other important issues.
The Conference program will be devoted to the latest achievements in the field of the theory of gravity, cosmology, astrophysics. The topics will be interesting for young researchers and will contribute to increasing the level of education, developing and strengthening the international scientific relations.
Together with the Conference, the Russian Scientific Meeting “Russian National Projects and “Megascience” Class Projects in the Field of Gravitational Physics” is planned to be organized. The academicians of the Russian Academy of Sciences Vladislav I. Pustovoit and Aleksey A. Starobinsky will head the Meeting.
Students, post-graduate students and young scientists will be able to take part in the International Summer School “International School on Gravity, Cosmology and Astrophysics” fn.bmstu.ru/en/school. The School will focus on modern achievements in the field of the Universe research and introduce the main ideas and research methods in the theory of gravity and cosmology.
